Try Freediving in Koh Tao
Discover Freediving is a private, one-day introduction — guided theory, breathwork, a static breath-hold session, and one relaxed ocean session. No experience needed, all equipment included.
By the end of the day you'll have held your breath longer than you thought possible — and dived deeper than you expected.
Your Day
How the Day Works
Three parts, one calm progression — from your first guided breath to your first real freedive.
Theory & Breathwork
- What actually happens to your body on a breath-hold
- Diaphragmatic breathing and the breathe-up
- Recovery breaths and the safety rules that keep freediving relaxed
- Equalisation basics — how to keep your ears comfortable

Static Breath-Hold
- A guided, floating breath-hold session with your instructor beside you
- Learn to notice — and relax through — the urge to breathe
- Most people double what they thought their limit was

Ocean Session
- One relaxed session at a calm, sheltered bay
- Duck dive and gentle dives along the buoy line, at your pace
- Your instructor films your dives on GoPro — the footage is yours

Who It's For
Made for First Breaths
Complete beginners
Never held your breath underwater? Perfect. The day is designed to start from zero — no fitness or dive background needed.
Snorkellers who want more
If you already love floating over the reef, this is the step from watching the ocean to actually being in it.
The curious but nervous
Because every session is private, the pace is entirely yours. Nervousness is normal — and usually gone after the first breath-hold.
Future PADI Freedivers

FAQ
Common Questions
How much does it cost to try freediving in Koh Tao?
The Discover Freediving day costs ฿2,800 per person (~$80 USD). That includes theory, breathwork, a static breath-hold session, one ocean session, all equipment, and GoPro videos. Every session is private.
Do I need any experience?
None. You just need to be comfortable in the water and able to swim. The day starts from zero — many people have never held their breath underwater before.
Will I get a certification?
Discover Freediving is an experience day, not a certification course. If you want a certification valid worldwide, the 3-day PADI Freediver course is the next step — and this day is the perfect preparation for it.
How deep will I go?
There's no target depth — the day is about comfort, not numbers. You dive at your own pace with your instructor right beside you. Most first-timers surprise themselves by the end of the ocean session.
Ready?
One day. One breath. See what happens.
Private, relaxed, and entirely at your pace — in the warm, clear water of Koh Tao.
